Tax Help

The Christmas Program

Education Assistance

Operates between August and October each year.

Appointments available on requests made after mid July.

Tax Help is suitable for people with relatively low incomes and straightforward tax affairs.

Tax Help is a volunteer position.

Runs for the two weeks preceding Christmas each year.

You can collect a food hamper from the office during that period.

Families with primary school or pre school children will be assessed for eligibility for free toys. Those eligible will be contacted and an appointment made for them to come into the office and select their toys.

The Christmas program is run by volunteers.

All toys and food stuffs have been donated.

Is available all year, but is usually accessed at the start of the school year (end of January, start of February).

Casey has both the highest number of school children in the State combined with the largest number of people identified as living in poverty. Small grants are issued to families dependent on the funds available. Help is provided to access relevant philanthropic trusts.

The program is managed by the Case Work team.

Funding for this program is provided by donations, fundraising and philanthropy.
